Sharnz:

Welcome to the Soca Chronicles. Soca Chronicles with Sharns and.

Arkayo:

RKO. Welcome to the 36th episode of Soca Chronicles, the podcast that brings you everything Soca. I'm RKO and I'm digitally sitting next to the one and only Sharns. Yo yo yo, it's taking too long, come on. Yo Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo Yo. Damn, not my words, just quoting someone.

Sharnz:

Damn Daniel.

Arkayo:

Anyway, this episode is going to be a wee bit short, as they would say in Ireland. I think it's going to not have an interview, but I will be able to say that we are going to prepare for something bigger for the next episode. Because why would we want to do that, sjorns? I don't know, rko why would we want to do that, sjorns?

Sharnz:

I don't know, RKO. Why would we want to do that? You tell me.

Arkayo:

Well, I will tell you that in that case, because it's our third year anniversary.

Sharnz:

Ay Three years, three years.

Arkayo:

Three years. I feel like it was only yesterday when we said, hey, we should do a podcast and then we did, like you know, a musical podcast. A lot of music in it Got banned from Spotify and here we are, three years later.

Sharnz:

Still banned by Spotify. There we go. We're still in that Spotify jail boy. I don't know when we're getting released. We didn't get bail.

Arkayo:

Every year I send an email to them hey guys, I don't know when we're getting released. We didn't get bail. Every year I send an email to them, hey guys, so you know, it's been one year, it's been two years, it's been three years and my email is going to go out soon. Can we get back into the thing maybe?

Sharnz:

Yeah come on, so we'll see what happens. No reply so far. Yeah, yo do you know what? We're too good for Spotify, so it is what it is, sorry.

Arkayo:

Bro bro yeah, we are, yeah, yeah, definitely, definitely, thank you remember, I have muscles, thank you, yes, yes, absolutely so like I said, this will be a short uh episode, but it will be entertaining nonetheless, because we will be talking about the experiences of sharns during crop over, yeah, and also we're going to talk about some other carnivals, ones that are coming up and ones that also have paused, so, in other words, I think we should get in it.

Arkayo:

Let's go as said first up, let's talk about Sharns and her experiences for Crop Over and I'm talking like she's not actually with me in this digital room Exactly what the hell. Could you take off and tell us your experience? So last time we ended it at Weeting, weeting and Tipsy, because you were still there. Weeting and Tipsy.

Arkayo:

We had a little discussion about that. It was awesome, but we had to end it there because you know it was before the release. Oh no, it was. The rest of the carnival was after the release of the episode.

Sharnz:

There we go.

Arkayo:

So it's time to talk about that now.

Sharnz:

It is Right, right, right and right. Well, as you guys know, I told you about Wheating, tipsy and, I think, soca State of Mind as well, after we recorded the podcast last month.

Supah Nytro:

I also went soka on the hill which was vibes with problem child.

Sharnz:

Was there nadia batson uh voice performed oh, big names yeah, I'm trying to think what other non-bayjans performed. I can't remember, but then it was a whole host of bayjant artists rick was there, bruce lee, almighty mole, etc. Etc. Etc, etc. So it was actually quite fun. To be honest, I enjoyed myself. And then after that was hyped, dj puffy fett.

Sharnz:

I don't know if you guys have seen videos on instagram or whatever of a guy that climbed up on the railings, or whatever they call. I think they call it a truss. Um, yeah, I've seen that, and puffy cussed him out boy, yeah, boy, he's like get up down stop the music and everything.

Arkayo:

Yeah stop the whole music boy did he jump off or something right?

Sharnz:

yeah, so the first time it looked like he was gonna fall, and then he kind of pulled himself back up, and then he kind of Pulled himself back up and then he Kind of dropped down the second time. Puffy's like Look at your condition, look at you.

Arkayo:

The things you have to deal with as an organizer Of an event Yo.

Sharnz:

I was dead. I was so dead, so dead, but Hyped was cool. Nice, there were a lot, of, a lot of young people there, like when I say young, obviously I'm old now, but I would say like 20s, like early 20s and stuff.

Supah Nytro:

Loads of young people.

Sharnz:

But I saw quite a few people that I knew there from London and stuff, a couple of artists that knew me.

Arkayo:

You know what I mean, because obviously DJ Sharns International DJ Sharns is famous. Exactly no.

Sharnz:

I'm lying Guys, I Exactly no. I'm lying Guys, I'm a nobody. Nobody knows me yeah.

Arkayo:

For now, it will happen.

Sharnz:

Moving swiftly on. After that was Rise. Rise was very disappointing this year. I cannot lie to you.

Arkayo:

Really.

Sharnz:

Yeah, it was disappointing.

Arkayo:

I don't even know who was headlining.

Sharnz:

So the headliners, they had Pumper.

Song of the Month:

Okay, they had.

Sharnz:

Skinny. They had Patrice again and they had Rick. He performed last.

Arkayo:

Really yeah.

Sharnz:

I can't remember who else they had, but some of the performances were way too long. So then the later performances they had to rush those so that they could get everybody out before the the party finished.

Arkayo:

But oh, wow yeah, I wasn't.

Sharnz:

I wasn't feeding it this year. I can't lie to you, so I don't know. I might give rise and miss next year, it depends but you know, oh, kes kes was there as well.

Arkayo:

Forgot about kes uh, wait, kes was there last year, right, or was? Or was it a different fad they were doing?

Sharnz:

I think no that was Rice. Yeah, I think he was there last year as well. Yeah, so Kes was there with the band. I mean, his performance was nice.

Arkayo:

Yeah, yeah, but if you've seen it last year, then yeah, I mean Not much new.

Sharnz:

That's what I'm saying. I'm over it. I'm so over it it yeah uh, but yeah, so it was very disappointing, um, and then, after hyped what was it? It's not hyped, rise, rise was the wednesday, and then I think was four day after that, so four day this year my favorite thing yeah, four day again. It was just bare people storming again bro again again, again again again.

Sharnz:

So, yeah, I I had a good time at four day, but it at the same time it was disappointing just because of all the stormers and then yeah the rain was falling and I was soaked and obviously it's nighttime, so the sun's not out to dry you, and stuff and that's cold literally I see what you did there thank you, I accepted that, yeah yeah, but yeah. So four day was disappointing, but I still had a good time yeah, yeah would you go next year again with colorsors.

Arkayo:

No disrespect to Colors, but I know they've grown as a band and last year I felt like there were too many Stormers. I was hoping they would get it under control this year, but by the sound of it, they didn't. Would it take it that far that you would say you know what, I'm going to go to find another band.

Sharnz:

Next year I'm going to find another band, I think, but I don't think it was just colors that had the problem with the storm, I think it was every band that was on the road. So next year I'm thinking to do a private jump.

Supah Nytro:

So, uh, it'll be like with native or something like that, where it's literally just you and your band and nobody else can get in?

Sharnz:

um, I'm gonna give that a try because obviously I've done colors every single year since 2015 you've been loyal I believe, yeah, there we go. So I'm gonna try something different to be honest for sure. Uh, what else did I do? I did mimosa. Mimosa was an all-inclusive breakfast fete. I've never done it before. That was my first time. Mimosa was good it was very good. No, no okay, the but was the breakfast, the portions they gave you? Obviously, guys, if you know me, you, know that I'm greedy as f these muscles need to eat.

Arkayo:

Yo, that's what I'm saying.

Sharnz:

Gotta feed these muscles yeah and the portions they gave were so small I had to eat like I had to keep going back To get more breakfast Because it just Wasn't enough.

Arkayo:

Oh, wow.

Sharnz:

But other than that, like it was nice, like the decor and everything Was beautiful. They had like A few performers Like Rick performed, bruce Lee performed, mole performed.

Arkayo:

Nice. How about the stushness? Because I always heard it was quite stush yeah.

Sharnz:

No, not really. It didn't come across as stush to me and I wasn't really waiting too long for drinks, to be honest, because obviously it included drinks and they had like a Hennessy stand, they had a Johnny Walker stand, like the drinks that you could get was just phenomenal.

Supah Nytro:

So, Mimosa.

Sharnz:

Yeah, mimosa was nice. It ended at 11. I was hoping it would go on till 12, but it ended and I was like yo, I'm not ready to finish 13.

Supah Nytro:

Like come on, I'm having a great time.

Sharnz:

So yeah no, no, no, it was really good. What else did I do? No, no, no, it was really good. What else did I do? I actually did like an impromptu boat party called Booz and Bacchanal so Scooby, who's a dancer from Barbados. Honestly, I met him in Malta for Abbey Fusoka Festival and we've kind of kept in touch since then, and then he messaged me. He was like yo, I'm having a boat party, you know, come down with your friends.

Sharnz:

So I was like yo, yeah sure, all right then yeah so it was me and two of my friends went down and bro, when I tell you that boat was vibes.

Supah Nytro:

Yeah.

Sharnz:

Vibes, like you were not just hearing Beige and Soca, bro, I was hearing Ponyon. I was hearing Jab. Jab I was hearing.

Song of the Month:

Denry.

Sharnz:

Bro. Yeah, and obviously they were playing like dancehall. They played like a bit of Afro beats and what not, like. Oh my god, it was bro. It was vibes, vibes, vibes, vibes. It even rained on the boat, rained so hard that water got into the boat, so it was basically like puddles of water inside the boat.

Arkayo:

Yeah, it was mad, but we still, you didn't even scoop it out, though, did you?

Sharnz:

No, no, no, no, no. It was.

Song of the Month:

The boat didn't capsize.

Sharnz:

We were good, we were good I think it added to the ambience to be honest because, like people were, like splashing in it.

Arkayo:

And yeah it was, it was vibes, it was vibes nice.

Sharnz:

Um yeah stabby performed. Um father phyllis performed nice I think those are the only two performers, to be honest, if I remember right, sound like a vibe. Those, those people bring vibes anyway yeah, no 100, and it was a cooler fit as well, so we could bring our own drinks on board. Oh, perfect yeah yeah, so yeah, that was vibes. I also did Limers.

Arkayo:

Remember Limers, yeah, limers, oh yeah.

Sharnz:

Yeah, so Limers actually started out so tragic, bro, when I tell you it started out tragic, so you know. They say we set sail like 10 am on the dock.

Arkayo:

Oh, set sail like 10am on the dock. Don't believe that, don't believe the hype.

Sharnz:

No, but normally it's not that long you're waiting.

Supah Nytro:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Sharnz:

I don't think we didn't start boarding, I think, until about half past 10. Something like that Got on the boat. I was on a silver boat with Spinny Spinny.

Arkayo:

Spinny, spinny, spinny, spinny, yeah like the Spinny.

Sharnz:

Spinny. Yeah, like the drama To try and get tickets For that silver boat Was mad. But I'm not even Going to get into that.

Supah Nytro:

Just know that I got my silver tickets. Got on the boat now.

Sharnz:

We're waiting. They started to serve food. Then we hear an announcement Guys, this is the wrong boat, you're going to have to Go on another boat. I'm like Huh.

Arkayo:

But you're already there, that's what I'm saying.

Sharnz:

We were on the boat, but the boat hadn't moved yet.

Arkayo:

Didn't they have like flags yeah?

Sharnz:

it had the silver flag on it, but they said guys this is the wrong boat. So they had put the silver flag and the spinning sign. On the wrong boat.

Arkayo:

Wild.

Sharnz:

Yeah, so we all had to get off the boat. And then the other boat that we got onto, bro, when I tell you the, jump From like the dock. I had to jump From the dock to the. I had to jump from like the dock to get on the boat, because, yeah, it was mad, like the boat was so low I had to jump. Bro remember my leg is mashup, remember guys?

Sharnz:

yeah, my legs fractured I had to jump bro but I had to do like a one-footed, like I landed on one foot, like my good foot yeah, jesus christ it was mad, it was mad. And then obviously, obviously, everybody's just getting on the boat and getting food, so the vibe wasn't there to begin with yeah yeah yeah, but then once people had started like when they finished eating and whatever vibes were up. I had a time.

Sharnz:

I had a time bro a time and I think it was meant to finish at 2, but they let us Sail for a bit longer, obviously because I think we sailed. It was well after 11 that we sailed, so it was like Over an hour late. We sailed, so the harbour master sailed. I think from like Half past 10 or something the harbour master was gone.

Arkayo:

Oh shit, yeah, we're out, yeah, exactly.

Sharnz:

And then all the other boats started to go, but because there was the mix-up with our boat, I think our boat was the last one to set sail right, yeah, yeah, so it was mad, but yeah but if they, if they continue to be, that's nice, because I remember another boat that definitely didn't uh oh yeah, we're not going to mention that boat ruben. Sorry, okay, oh sorry, sorry, I'm throwing out the government. Stare, I apologise, bro, just say it again.

Arkayo:

I'll go over it.

Sharnz:

Okay, let's not mention that boat RKO. Let's not do that.

Arkayo:

We don't need to name and shame anti-ganting, but yeah.

Sharnz:

Limas started off tragic, but it ended. It ended well, so I had a blast Limas. What else was there? Kaduman?

Arkayo:

yeah, I was gonna say it's time for kuduman day.

Sharnz:

Obviously I played on the truck wait.

Arkayo:

Hold on hold on, hold on, hold on. Did ryan have a private? Ryan have a fart.

Sharnz:

I've had this this year he did soaker baby, he did the soaker baby one.

Song of the Month:

Remember we had tickets for that last year and we, we didn't go, yeah because, that was on the harper master, it was just like

Arkayo:

yeah, ain't getting into that, let that money burn. Yeah, exactly, I remember that, yes, exactly yeah, like literally.

Sharnz:

So yeah, he did um kudumit day. It was so different, bro. So so really yeah, because obviously you remember we're used to like meeting with the band at like 8 am or whatever, and then waiting around for like 10 million hours and having breakfast and stuff. So the morning of kuduman, the rain. It was like torrential rain bro like literally it was like monsoon season. Obviously, guys, I'm exaggerating. You know I love to exaggerate, but the rain was super heavy, to the point where they pushed back kudumint.

Sharnz:

So the entirety of kudumint was yeah so the first band was meant to go at 7 am but they pushed it back to 11 am wild yeah. So I was just in my bed just waiting for updates. I had a friend who's of colors, so I said to him yo, when the truck starts moving, let me know and I'll start making my way, so I think I probably got on the road.

Sharnz:

Hmm, maybe like one half one or something like I've never done that feels so wrong I'm telling you I was like bro, I'm fully rested, I'm not tired like what is going on this this is is like this ain't real Can't be real yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah so. Yeah, managed to find the band Pretty easily. Bramble sent me his location. He was with Aura, so Aura was like Behind Colours, so I literally just Found Aura. Walked forward, found Colours.

Arkayo:

Nice.

Sharnz:

Spoke to Brian. Brian was just like yeah, once we go through Judging point, it's your time.

Arkayo:

Because you were not joining the band as a reveler.

Sharnz:

But yeah, so remember last year how long it took for me To actually get to play.

Arkayo:

You were playing on the track. Yes, come on please.

Sharnz:

Yeah, it took me ages. Because remember it was like yeah, you're going to go on After this person, after this person, after this person. And obviously I started working myself up and getting more and more nervous and I'm shaking like a leaf but this year. I'd had drinks before as well, so I wasn't tipsy, but I was like you know the alcohol. The alcohol had touched me in ways that I enjoyed, you know what I mean.

Arkayo:

Yes exactly, yeah, yeah.

Sharnz:

So once I got on the truck, when it went past judging point and within I'd say 15 minutes I was playing, I just had to wait for lead pipe and saddest to finish their performance I mean, that's fair enough bro, I'm not gonna complain. And then, boom, I was on no shaking hands, like I was just on no nerves. Nothing bro, I was on no shaking hands, like I was just on no nerves. Nothing bro, I was on and I played.

Arkayo:

See, you're getting there. I'm telling you.

Sharnz:

Bro, I know, but the only downside is I didn't have anyone to take footage. Like I found two random pieces of footage. But you can't see me at all, or anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but yeah, because hopefully last year I had you, I had my sister, I obviously had shaq you know what I mean. So I had content for days, but this year hardly any content. But, yeah, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. I decided to play different. I wanted to start with Bashment Sokar, but the guy that played before me literally ran through. All the new Bashment

Sharnz:

Soka Played Like Some of the ones From last year as well, so I was like Damn.

Arkayo:

But he didn't play.

Sharnz:

Van Grind Rhythm.

Arkayo:

Oh my god, so did you start with that?

Sharnz:

I didn't. I went old school, I started old school power, yeah, and then Made my way up and then from there Brought it down a bit and then went into bashment and I had to host for myself this year. Bro, what, what? Dj shan's on the mic and obviously I had to make sure I wasn't swearing or talking about my front or none of that stuff and I managed to do it. I don't even know goodness gracious.

Supah Nytro:

I don't even know how I managed. You have grown a lot.

Sharnz:

Listen, who is this person? Where is DJ?

Supah Nytro:

Chance. Bring back her and her filthy mouth, please. I need her in my life, literally that's what I'm saying.

Sharnz:

It was a madness, but yeah, I was.

Arkayo:

That's epic.

Sharnz:

I was proud, I was proud of myself, honestly, nice, nice, nice. So yeah, and then what else? So then it was. Kuduma was the Monday. Tuesday night was my last night in Barbados. I, literally just last minute, went to a FET, soka 5.0. They had like loads of the Soka legends, the Bajor ones, oh nice.

Arkayo:

Yeah, because it was a 50-year anniversary, of course.

Sharnz:

Yeah, so they had like Crossfire had um um, um, the one that allison hines was in square one, square one, oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, rupee was there, like they had loads of performances and then obviously the newer generation, so guys performed as well. But yeah, I had fun.

Arkayo:

I had fun I had a great time.

Sharnz:

Good yeah, that was great so crop over for me this year was fab. Obviously it would have been better if you were there with me well, that goes for the two of us there we go but, yeah, I, I, yeah, I definitely enjoyed it, definitely did a bit more networking, so I met grateful co yeah, okay yeah, yeah, so maybe I can reach out to him see if he'll come on the podcast.

Arkayo:

Yeah, why not?

Sharnz:

Literally. So yeah, man, it was a good one.

Arkayo:

Nice, and that is my crop over review.

Sharnz:

My favourite fet for the whole thing.

Arkayo:

Wheating.

Sharnz:

Oof yeah. It's probably Wheating and a close second Would be Booze and Back and Out. You know Scooby's event.

Arkayo:

Yeah, scooby's event, that'd be a close second. Fair enough.

Sharnz:

Yeah.

Arkayo:

Yeah, definitely that's dope man that is dope.

Sharnz:

But obviously, bro, you Were outside, I was outside At a festival.

Arkayo:

Listen, this was also a horror story. I'll try to keep it Short, but by goodness, this was a typical Non RKO situation, right?

Sharnz:

Oh boy.

Arkayo:

Talk to me. I heard Kes was going to perform in Belgium, which is, you know, antwerp, which is like half an hour, 45 minutes away from where I live. So I was like you know I can go there. This sounds like fun. He was going to perform at the festival called the Antojaanse Feesten, which translates to the Antillian parties, but it's like a show for, like Dutch, or at least well, antillian Caribbean, less Antilles, you know, aruba, curaçao, bonaire, and then you have St Marys. There's all kinds of like small groups, but the main act there was some Afro-British as well, by the way, but the main act was Cas. I was like we need to go. We go.

Arkayo:

So you know, reading that it's near Antwerp, I'm like you know, we can make like a little weekend out of this. I'll just get like a hotel for a night in Antwerp. We'll just go to Antwerp. We'll, you know, eat something, go to the event, party, party, party. Get back, because they were talking about like there will be shuttle buses as well. So we're like you know what this sounds, epic, let's make it into a nice, can't? So me and a couple of my friends, we went, uh, got our hotel in in antwerp, settled down, had some food. We're like all right, so how do we get there? Like, all right, should be a bus or something. Go to google maps, check the bus. The bus takes one hour and 45 minutes. I'm like wait what?

Arkayo:

please remind yourself that I took 45 minutes to get from my house to antwerp, like it was going on here oh my goodness so I checked the map and I'm not sure if anybody knows europe or like the dutch cities a lot, but it was closer to my house than it was to antwerp oh my gosh, no way, so we had to take. We had to take a fucking taxi for like 40 minutes.

Sharnz:

Oh my gosh Expensive as shit.

Arkayo:

But you know we got there, had a great time during Kess, Like. Kess was doing the most. If you want to have like a taste of it, he did like a little post of his time in Europe, as he says it, but I think the one video had Belgium. I think he went to sweden as well, actually, but um, yeah um, yeah, this is. It was a vibe. We were almost in the front. It was great, like it was busy there were a lot of people soca

Arkayo:

was loved at that point and I loved it. Um, come to the end of the festival, we were like, oh well, we have to get back to antwerp now. So I was like all right, well, just walk to the shuttle buses, go to the shuttle buses. Yeah, I asked where do the shuttle buses go? Oh well, to the nearest village called whatever it's called. I don't know the name anymore, so okay, so what do we do from there If we want to go to Antwerp?

Arkayo:

You're probably going sleeping under a bridge, to be honest, because there's no bus or train going anymore at this point. Like what, so we had to take?

Song of the Month:

another taxi back for another 150 euros.

Arkayo:

Oh my gosh, I could have, I could have invited, like five more people, to guess and paid for them with the amount of money I spent on taxi rides. So let's learn next time I'm just driving and not drinking, because this is insane and I'm actually gonna just stay outside the vet and taxi people around to make more money there we go, anyway.

Sharnz:

That's crazy, let's go. Wow, what happened to? You're the king of research, bro.

Arkayo:

This is what I mean. I looked at google maps and I instantly realized mistakes were made. Rvo did not do his research.

Sharnz:

So you could have literally got a train straight to like near the festival, so it was very close to the Dutch city of Breda, which is like 20 minutes away from me, and from there it was like another 10 minutes to drive or something, so you could have just had a weekend in that city, but, like I said, this is why I research and I will never feel again yeah, yeah, no, I hear it, bro.

Arkayo:

Lesson learned boy and, to be honest, gas was worth everything like it was it was a show and, yeah, it was awesome. So I've seen him before as well, last year in in um, in the barbados, of course, but still he just keeps amazing me so yeah, if you're in the area of a cast concert, definitely go. It is very much worth it damn daniel all right, should we maybe have a short like musical interval before we continue with the previews or with some more past carnivals and another preview yes, yes because then I want to go to song of the month and this time I was allowed to let my jab out a bit.

Arkayo:

The jab jab jockey, job, job.

Sharnz:

The Jab Jab Jockey.

Arkayo:

The Bouchon Babe and the Jab Jab Jockey. I'm not. This is not sounding great. It's a bit weird. I don't know.

Sharnz:

It somehow sounds like a pause and a fire. Yes, it does A little bit yeah.

Arkayo:

I think we have to work on that.

Supah Nytro:

We have to work on that Pause.

Arkayo:

Anyway, do you want to have the others Please?

Sharnz:

Yeah Of Song in a Mouth.

Arkayo:

Yes, please.

Sharnz:

No, I'm not gonna do it. This is your song. Oh, I'm gonna do it then. Yeah, so you do it.

Arkayo:

This is the biggest you listen. Last year they had us doing 40 pushups For a walk up. This year we're running 20 miles. Let's listen to Muddy Horny.

Song of the Month:

This is the song of the month. Bad girls need love. One call Muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, muddy, mud, girl, money Ready, ready, ready. Girl anytime you're horny. You are to call me. I walk in 20 miles. Come with the journey. She get a blind. I fall in love and go. She for it. She get a blind. I know she acting like she want me. Girl anytime you're horny. You are to call me. I walk in 20 miles. Come with the journey. She get a blind. I fall in love and go with the journey. She get a blind. I fall in love and go. She fall in. She get a blind. I know she acting like she know me.

Song of the Month:

I walk in 20 miles. Come with the journey. She get a blight. I fall in love and watch she fight.

Sharnz:

She get a blight. I know she acting like she want it. This is Soca.

Arkayo:

Chronicles yeah, I just enjoy that song. It's cool, it's dope and I want to run 20 miles now Anyway.

Sharnz:

Damn, damn. Speaking of Grenada.

Arkayo:

Speaking of Grenada, yeah, yeah, we need to talk about at least the winners. And I've seen some awesome, awesome footage from that area.

Supah Nytro:

Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, the winners, and I've seen some awesome, awesome footage from that area.

Arkayo:

There was one major winner from the the road march and the power soccer monarch yes you want to have the honors again because you didn't.

Sharnz:

You know, take the other time okay, I can, I can do that. That's no problem, right? So, roadmarch winner, we had Dash with the tape and he also won the Power Soaker Monarch. So he did the double, little double whammy. A bit like Bruce Lee in Barbados, who won. Roadmarch and People's Monarch. Oh, I didn't.

Arkayo:

Well, it's on our Soaker page anyway. Oh I didn't. Well, it's on our, it's on our Ahsoka page anyway, but oh I didn't guys, the tune of the crop we should have mentioned that we can still do that now yeah, yeah so tune of the crop yeah, so Bruce Lee Almighty won.

Sharnz:

Road March with Tomorrow. And he also won People's Monarch or tune of the Prop. So Dash has done the same thing when he's done the double whammy, but obviously we don't have Soka Monarch in Barbados Anymore, but yeah. So, he won that with the tape Big tune, big tune, big tune. We're not going to play it. But if you want to check it out, just go on YouTube. Type in Dasha-s-h the tape big, big and check that out, make sure you check it out 100 definitely.

Sharnz:

And the groovy circle monarch boise, one with sweet home yeah which I see why it won obviously it's all about. You know, grenada beingada being you know, home and blah, blah, blah blah. So I think that was a good choice.

Arkayo:

It's a good tune as well, so check that out, boise sweet home. Please, please, please, please.

Sharnz:

Yeah.

Arkayo:

Yeah, I mean we're getting closer and closer to the end of the carnival season of 2024. But not entirely, because we still have a carnival to look forward to which is very close to your house, even home.

Supah Nytro:

They don't play Lucian music.

Song of the Month:

But in Nothing Hill Carnival they play whatever is good.
